Oscar and Mimi Award for Outstanding Service to the PGWSL. Trophy is awarded to the tournament's Most Inspirational Team as selected by all teams playing in the tournament. Click here for a ballot form.

Annual Nominations

Every year, members of The Victoria Women's Fastball League acknowledge the efforts of individuals within the league through a nomination process. Nominations are made within each team for Most Spirited Player, Most Improved Player, and Most Valuable Player.

In addition, nominations are made from from each team for an individual to be honoured with the Sue Beischer and Joannie Dillabaugh Trophies. Furthermore, each team has one vote for the Most Sportsmanlike Team. Past year recipients are listed below. Ballot forms can be found on the forms page.

Sue Beischer Award
Presented at the Sue Beischer Tournament, the Sue Beischer Tournament Heart Award "is dedicated to the everlasting memory of Sue Beischer who's love of the game, the league and its players will never be forgotten."  This trophy is awarded to a player who:

• Is a leader
• Promotes sportsmanship and fair play
• Is a promoter of the league and it's success
• Has knowledge and respect for the game and all the people involved
• Has fun!

Each team has two votes and is encouraged to vote for any individuals involved in the league that most represent Sue's leadership and love for the game and the people involved. Click here for a ballot form

"This award is dedicated to the everlasting memory of Sue Beischer who's love of the game, the league and its players will never be forgotten."

Joannie Dillabaugh Award
Presented at the Sue Beischer Tournament, the Joannie Dillabaugh Trophy is awarded to the player who:

• Has fun!
• Loves softball and has spirit for the game
• Is dedicated to ensuring everyone has fun
• Is dedicated to the league
• Has respect for players no matter their ability

Each team has two votes and is encouraged to vote for the players throughout the league that most represent Joannie's spirit and will to play. Most of all, candidates should be an inspiration to everyone in the league. Click here for a ballot form

Most Sportsmanlike Team
Presented at the Sue Beischer Tournament, this trophy is awarded to the team that:

• Shows the most sportsmanship
• Has fun!
• Has respect for other teams
• Has respect for the game of softball
